At Mimi's Nursery, we believe in a child-centred approach to learning. We encourage children to explore, question, and discover at their own pace. Our teachers create a supportive and nurturing environment where children feel safe to take risks and make mistakes.

We ensure the physical, emotional, and psychological safety of every child within the nursery environment. This includes having robust safety protocols, maintaining clean and hygienic facilities, and providing a secure and nurturing atmosphere where children feel protected.

 We celebrate and embrace diversity in all its forms, including cultural, ethnic, linguistic, and socio-economic diversity.  Our environment allows every child to feel valued, respected, and represented, celebrating all backgrounds and abilities. 

Our key person system allows us to create positive and respectful relationships between children, educators, and families. Strong relationships provide the foundation for children's social and emotional development and contribute to a sense of belonging and security within our nursery environment.

We recognise the importance of play as a fundamental vehicle for children's learning, self-expression, and problem-solving. Our nurseries provide opportunities for play, both indoors and outdoors, where children can explore, experiment, and make sense of the world around them.

We maintain open, transparent communication with parents and caregivers and involve them in decision-making processes, and provide opportunities for collaboration, feedback, and shared learning experiences.

We want to ensure the children are aware of environmental stewardship and sustainability, so we promoting eco-friendly practices within the nursery environment. This may include teaching children about recycling, conservation, and respect for nature, as well as incorporating sustainable practices into daily routines and activities
